Perhaps you have been browsing our blog and you are thinking that we are repeating ourselves if you have noticed that there are two identical titles, (this is the other blog entry to which we refer).

This time we have made a selection for you of the 5 best rooftops so you can enjoy a summer in the heights.

Places where you can enjoy a cocktail while watching the sunset, oasis with live music in a big city. Restaurants to get lost looking at infinity with a good company or quieter cafes to be able to work for a while being closer to heaven.

The Roof

Located on the tenth floor of The Barcelona Edition hotel. It offers incomparable panoramic views of the city, including those of the colorful roof of the Mercat de Santa Caterina, a 4,200-square-meter ceramic mosaic in the colors of fruits and vegetables. At the back of this emblematic building you can also see the remains of the old convent of Santa Caterina on which this was built, the first covered market in Barcelona.

The Roof is a reference terrace where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of the city throughout the year, since its central part is prepared for inclement weather thanks to retractable glass walls. Outside, seats and loungers in natural materials accompany the exclusive pool and spectacular views.

Garden Palace

The best kept corner and oasis in the city is the Solarium. 360-degree viewpoint of Barcelona, a little higher than the terrace: a space to have a drink away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy stunning sunsets.

Inspired by the romantic garden of the palace of Francesc Cambó (famous politician of the early 20th century) and the paintings of the modernist artist Ramon Casas, this is possibly the largest and most exclusive rooftop garden in Barcelona, with an area of 1,500 m2.

It is located on the roof of the Hotel Palace in Barcelona.

1881 by Sagardi

In Barceloneta, on the fourth floor of the Museu d’Història de Catalunya, we find a terrace that does not need much height to offer one of the best views of the city. The restaurant is named after the year in which, inspired by English port constructions, the Museum building was designed, 1881. The views are a dream: the entire coastline of Barcelona, from the Montjuïc hill to beyond the Besós.

Flax & Kale Terrace

We go beyond the sights and move to the urban, Flax & Kale designs all its offer thinking not only in the mere gastronomic pleasure, but also in its nutritional value. Healthy and innovative dishes from around the world.

On the top floor of its restaurant on Carrer dels Tallers you can enjoy its terrace with an urban garden where you will find both trees and aromatic herbs.

83.3 Terrace Bar

I have saved my favorite place for last. Terrace 83.3 of the Hotel Royal Passeig de Gràcia. It is a privileged place to enjoy the city’s skyline. If you look to the right, you will be fascinated by the sunset over Montjuïc. If you look to your left, the protagonist will be our most representative work of art, the Sagrada Familia. And if you look ahead, you will find the imposing blue of the Mediterranean Sea.

Its differential point is that the terrace is covered by a glass roof and is fully heated, which makes it an ideal place to enjoy 365 days a year without exception.
