New academic article on female leadership in the automotive sector in Spain, carried out in collaboration between three EUM lecturers and a researcher from the Department of Business, a former student of the Degree in Marketing.

The prestigious academic journal Dirección y Organización has published in its issue 82 (April 2024) the article entitled ‘Women’s leadership in a masculinised sector. The case of the automotive industry in Spain’ (https://revistadyo.es/DyO/index.php/dyo/article/view/657), written by Professor PhD. Óscar Gutiérrez Aragón, Professor PhD. Ariadna Gassiot Melian (until last year, a member of the university), Professor PhD. Joan Francesc Fondevila Gascón and the researcher of the Department of Business Aroa Denia Ruiz, a former student of the EUM Degree in Marketing.

The main objective of the research carried out was to find out how female leadership is valued by workers and managers in the sector in Spain. The results indicated that the acceptance of female leadership is very high and that it will be a trend that will increase in the future, with women, young people and those with higher education being the most critical of gender stereotypes and the most positive about a future with greater female leadership.
