Today we talk about Social Networks
Social networks are digital platforms made up of communities of individuals with common interests, activities or relationships (such as friendship, kinship, work). Social networks allow contact between people and function as a means to communicate and exchange information.
They allow us to create a life and develop it. They allow us to interact with people who may be on the other side of the planet, they allow us to connect, create content, share it and spread it.
We all know and use the most important ones, Facebook, Instagram, Google+, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, YouTube Shorts… to name a few. However, the number of social networks that exist in the world can change in a matter of just a few weeks. Why? Not all social networks are equally well known or popular among users and not all social networks remain with us over time. Who remembers Tuenti or Fotolog? In their day they were very popular communities but over time they went down in history. That is what happens every time a social network is registered or withdrawn. Thus, we can currently speak of a total of more than 40 social networks around the world, each with its corresponding purpose.
We are not going to stop to explain what Facebook or Instagram are, what Vox Populi is, or that there are “professional” networks like LinkedIn to search for work and business contacts, for this post we have prepared a list of curiosities:
