International Mobility

EUM promotes the international mobility of students and faculty by contributing to the international projection of undergraduate studies and cooperating with foreign universities to offer opportunities that enhance professional careers.

EUM has an Erasmus University Charter , which represents the center’s commitment to the fundamental principles of mobility: recognition of activities, high quality standards, and commitment to equality and non-discrimination.

International Activities

 

COIL: EUM collaborates with partner universities on the Collaborative Online International Learning program, where students work collaboratively with other students from a different culture and institution through experiential learning.

Summer Camp: EUM, in conjunction with Jiaxing University (PRC), organizes a summer course to improve language skills and learn about different aspects of Chinese culture.

BIP: EUM participates in the Blended Intensive Program, an educational format that combines online and in-person learning experiences. It promotes collaboration between Erasmus universities to create an educational project for their students.

MOST: EUM participates in the Motorways of the Sea Training – MOST Management course, offering logistics students real-time training along a maritime route between Barcelona and Rome.

Short Programs: EUM organizes Tailor-Made programs through partner universities for a semester or during the summer, including classes, lectures, and cultural visits.

Presence at international fairs

EUM attends the annual conference of the European Association for International Education (EAIE), participating in working sessions, conferences, and meetings with educators from around the world.

Welcome Sessions

EUM holds welcome events for international students beginning their studies in both the winter and spring semesters.

Buddy Program

The Buddy Program, or International Ambassador, aims to foster contact and interaction between EUM students and international students who are participating in an academic stay at our center. Welcoming international students allows EUM students to have an international experience from Barcelona.

Mobility Talks

Each academic year, EUM organizes international mobility talks for students at the center to raise awareness about the mobility options available to them.

ERASMUS+

ERASMUS+ is a European Union program that supports education, training, youth, and sport in Europe. Its funding provides more than 4 million Europeans with the opportunity to study, train, and gain experience abroad.

Being a beneficiary of an ERASMUS mobility means:

  • Complete a period of study at the host university
  • Academic recognition of credits obtained
  • Complete exemption from paying academic fees at the host university.
  • Receive financial assistance from the European Union (minimum mobility of 3 months)

SICUE

SICUE is a program of the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE), launched in the 2000-2001 academic year, for pursuing studies that can be validated at Spanish universities. Similar criteria apply to Erasmus.

Being a beneficiary of a SICUE mobility means:

  • Complete a period of study at the host university
  • Academic recognition of credits obtained
  • Complete exemption from paying academic fees at the host university.

PROMETHEUS

PROMETEO is a program aimed at mobility between countries or institutions outside the scope of the Erasmus+ program and based on bilateral agreements.

Being a beneficiary of a PROMETEO mobility means:

  • Complete a period of study at the host university
  • Academic recognition of credits obtained
  • Complete exemption from paying academic fees at the host university.

Preguntas frecuentes

According to the UdG's international mobility program regulations, to apply for a place on an international mobility program, you must certify a B2.1 level in a third language: English, French, Italian, or German. This requirement is not necessary when the teaching language for the places is Catalan or Spanish. Some places require proof of a B2 level.

Erasmus places are eligible for financial assistance from the European Union, depending on the length of stay (minimum 3 months). The amount of the grant also depends on the destination country and its standard of living.

The University Grant Management Agency (AGAUR) of the Government of Catalonia annually announces scholarships for students at Catalan universities who are studying abroad and who have received academic recognition.

Applications must be submitted by accessing the MOBOUT platform within the call period.

In the International Mobility call (Erasmus+ study places and PROMETEO), you can apply for a maximum of six places, sorted according to your preference.

Once you have been awarded a place, EUM notifies the host university that you will be attending.

The host university will contact you to request your personal and/or academic information and provide you with practical information (accommodation, etc.).

In other cases, they have prepared this information on their websites that you can consult.

Incoming students

If you are planning to apply for a place at EU MEDITERRANI as an incoming Erasmus student, the first thing you need to do is to contact your coordinator at your home university and discuss your candidacy with him/her.

Nomination procedure

We can only accept exchange students of partner universities and must first be nominated by the international office at the home institution.

Once your nomination is processed, we’ll contact you to complete your application.

Deadlines

  • Before 1st July  for the 1st semester or full academic year
  • Before 20th December for the 2nd semester

Language Requeriment

Spanish proficiency (minimum B1),

Most subjects are taught in Spanish but we provide a selection courses in English.
